Wycliffe College is looking to appoint a resourceful and capable Finance Manager to support the day-to-day running of the College’s financial operations and help contribute to its long-term financial planning.
This role will involve assisting with the daily management of the College’s finances, including budgeting and forecasting processes, oversee our cash flow, and will produce accurate management accounts. The postholder will also help prepare financial reports for senior leaders and Trustees, provide financial information to support decision-making, and ensure that financial procedures and controls are followed. The role will support statutory financial reporting, audit preparation, help ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and manage VAT administration in line with current legislation.
The successful candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant experience in a finance role. They will be resourceful, capable, and highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a range of tasks and deadlines. The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues will also be important. Experience in the education sector, knowledge of school finance systems, and familiarity with charity finance requirements would be an advantage.

This is a permanent position offered on a full-time, all-year-round basis. We welcome candidates to discuss hybrid and flexible working arrangements with us.
Working hours are from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm with an hour unpaid for lunch each day.
Salary: circa £50k - £55k per annum
