Teacher of Physical Education
Runnymede College is a private non-denominational British school in Madrid offering a British education to boys and girls of all nationalities from the age of two to eighteen. The education offered follows the British National Curriculum and we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, energetic, inspirational and committed Physical Education teacher to join our team from September 2026.
The ability to teach across all Key Stages is essential.
The successful applicant should have:
- a good honours degree from a British/Spanish University - Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deporte
- a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification to teach Physical Education - Máster Universitario en Profesorado de Educación Secundaria
- recent experience as a PE teacher in a school in the UK, and preferably with independent and/or international experience following the British curriculum
- excellent teamwork skills
- high expectations of pupils’ effort and behaviour, and facilitate this with proven classroom management skills
- be organised and have excellent time management skills
- be motivated and use initiative to contribute to success of the department
- be a native level English speaker
- knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage
